What to expect….
The Beginings
The start of a family session starts long before the actual session time! One thing I love is getting to know a bit about your family dynamic so that once we are at the session I can spark up conversation that makes you feel special and comfortable! I collect those details in the contact form! But if you were to book a Heirloom session I have a specific discovery questionaire that is more in-depth to allow for deeper connection! Once you have booked your date then we step into picking a location on the inspiration you might have! If not, I am more then happy to offer spots that I enjoy to shoot at or go location scouting for you!
Unique Touch
When you receive your gallery, I want the images to surprise you! In a good way! To make you pause and wonder how such emotion and curiosity could be captured within a single frame! To showcase your family in how you are truly connecting!
I am not in the market for producing images that are just a good deal. I come in with a very interactive approach where there is movement, games and letting the kids lead when they are inspired too!
Sometimes it can feel messy and chaotic when you are in the midst of it but when you look back you can see the value of where you were and how you & your kids grew from that place! Your images will be a real portrayal of our time spent together - which includes the quirks, emotions, mess along side the hugs, giggles, and kisses- that is what I thrive on documenting!
Your role in it
If there is one idea that I could stress the most is although we want beautifully curated images I also want you to be FULLY PRESENT with your family!
How does that work & feel? Mentally prepare yourself and your family to take a deep breath, talk about the adventure you might have vs stress them out by saying you must stand straight and smile for a good photo. Those poses will come naturally with my light prompting. Communicate that we will move around while playing games and if they need a breather we will always pause to allow that space. I care deeply about the memories that are attached to the photos that you will cherish for a lifetime.
